- •Symptom descriptions, fault codes, and any text or images you submit through the chat interface.
- •EV profile data you optionally save locally on your device.
- •Diagnostic history saved locally in your browser (localStorage — not on our servers).
- •Usage data including pages visited, features used, and session duration.
- •Technical data such as browser type, device type, and anonymised IP address.
- •Payment information — handled securely and exclusively by Stripe. We do not store card details.
2. How We Use Your Data
- •To generate AI-powered diagnostic guidance tailored to your vehicle and symptoms.
- •To improve the accuracy and relevance of our diagnostic engine over time.
- •To process payments and manage your subscription (via Stripe).
- •To monitor for abuse, fraud, or misuse of the platform.
- •To respond to support enquiries submitted via our contact form.
- •To comply with legal obligations under UK law.
3. Data Storage & Security
- •Diagnostic queries submitted to ElectraMedic are processed via secure, encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
- •Your EV profile and local diagnosis history are stored only in your browser's localStorage — they never leave your device unless you explicitly submit a query.
- •We use industry-standard security measures to protect any data we do hold.
- •We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
- •Payment data is processed by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant.
4. Your Rights
- •You have the right to access any personal data we hold about you.
- •You have the right to request correction of inaccurate data.
- •You have the right to request deletion of your personal data.
- •You have the right to object to or restrict processing of your data.

Privacy Policy for Business & Professional Users
If you are accessing ElectraMedic on behalf of a business, fleet operator, or as an automotive technician, this section applies to you in addition to the general privacy policy above.
Organisational Data: Vehicle data, fault logs, and diagnostic queries submitted through a business account are associated with that account. Ensure you have appropriate authorisation before submitting data about vehicles or systems belonging to third parties.
Data Retention for Business Accounts: Diagnostic history and reports generated under a business subscription may be retained for up to 12 months to support account continuity and audit trails. You may request earlier deletion at any time.
Confidentiality: Diagnostic data submitted by your organisation will not be shared with any other organisation or third party. Data is used solely to provide the service and improve diagnostic accuracy in aggregate, anonymised form only.
Data Processing Agreements: If your organisation requires a formal Data Processing Agreement (DPA) under GDPR or UK data protection law, please contact us at privacy@electromedic.app.
Acceptable Use: Business users must not submit personal data of vehicle owners or customers without their knowledge and consent. You are responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable data protection laws within your organisation.
Cookies & Local Storage
ElectraMedic uses browser localStorage (not traditional cookies) to save your EV profile, language preference, usage count, and diagnosis history — all stored locally on your device only. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Clearing your browser data will remove all locally stored information.
